SMS Consent Script & Workflow

The consent script and required process for appointment-support text messages.

Last updated · September 28, 2026Skin Poetry

This page specifies the consent process for the Skin Poetry Appointment Assistance SMS Program. Before texts are sent, callers must receive the disclosures below and give affirmative consent. Enrollment and messages begin only after those disclosures and consent. The script and message examples below describe the program’s consent requirements; they are not customer records.

Program scope

Business phone, SMS program, and support number: (443) 443-8192.

Texts are limited to non-marketing service and availability questions, booking assistance, requested booking links, and follow-up on an appointment request. No promotions or recurring appointment reminders are included. SMS consent is optional and is not required to purchase or book.

The initial opt-in method described here is an affirmative verbal response during an inbound call. Merely calling or providing a phone number is not consent.

1. Identify Skin Poetry and confirm the request

AI-receptionist introduction:

“Thank you for calling Skin Poetry. I’m Skin Poetry’s AI receptionist. I can help with service and availability questions or booking assistance. How can I help you?”

Before requesting SMS consent, the receptionist confirms the caller’s request, the mobile number to receive texts, and that the caller is authorized to consent for that number. Confirming the number alone does not authorize messages.

“Skin Poetry can text you about your service or availability questions, help with booking, send a booking link you request, and follow up on your appointment request. These are non-marketing messages and may be sent using automated technology. Message frequency varies based on your requests. Message and data rates may apply. These texts will come from (443) 443-8192. Reply in that text conversation with STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. You can also call us at (443) 443-8192 or email contact@skinpoetry.net. Text consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase or booking. Our Privacy Policy is at https://www.skinpoetry.net/privacy-policy, and our SMS Terms are at https://www.skinpoetry.net/sms-terms. I can repeat those addresses or give you time to review them before you decide. Do you agree to receive these texts from Skin Poetry at the mobile number we just confirmed?”

The policy addresses must be read clearly before the consent question. Callers may ask for the addresses to be repeated or take time to review them. No preliminary text, including a text containing policy links, may be sent before affirmative consent.

3. Respect the caller’s choice

Clear agreement: Record the affirmative response for the confirmed number and disclosed scope. Messages may begin only when consent is documented and no active opt-out blocks sending. Messages must stay within the consented request-related scope.

No or unclear response: Do not enroll the number or send program texts. If a response is uncertain, clarify before proceeding; silence is not consent. Assistance can continue by phone.

Response when the caller declines:

“No problem. I can continue helping you by phone without sending texts.”

Previous opt-out: Verbal agreement alone does not re-enroll an opted-out number. Subsequent express written consent through a supported re-enrollment process is required, and any active messaging block must be respected. Contact support for available options; no particular re-enrollment keyword is promised here.

Before sending, the consent record must include the confirmed mobile number; the date, time, and time zone; the inbound-call consent method; the program and scope disclosed; the script and policy versions; and the caller’s affirmative response. Consent and opt-out records must be protected, access-limited, and kept private.

The record described here does not require an audio recording. This page contains no real customer consent records or call recordings.

5. Keep messages relevant

Example first message from (443) 443-8192, after affirmative consent for help with an appointment request:

“Skin Poetry: You agreed to texts about your inquiry and appointment request. What day and time would you prefer? Message frequency varies based on your requests. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.”

A requested booking link or follow-up message is not, by itself, confirmation that an appointment is booked. Responses must address the caller’s request without promotions or unrelated messages.

6. Honor STOP and provide HELP

Recipients can reply STOP in the program text conversation to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. An opt-out received through support must also be honored. After an opt-out, no further program messages may be sent unless the recipient validly re-enrolls. One final opt-out acknowledgment may be sent.

HELP response example:

“Skin Poetry Appointment Assistance: For help, call (443) 443-8192 or email contact@skinpoetry.net. Message frequency varies based on your requests. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

Opt-out acknowledgment example:

“Skin Poetry: You have been unsubscribed from this SMS program. No more program messages will be sent. For assistance, call (443) 443-8192.”
